Active meditation for your transformation
The OSHO Active Meditations are a highly effective means of experiencing inner silence when normal mindfulness exercises do not help, or when you cannot calm down despite your best efforts and the carousel of thoughts goes on inexorably. Or if you feel like your body is going crazy inside as you try to sit on your pillow as still as possible. If you long for silence, relaxation, serenity and this inner space that resembles a night sky, but just can't find it, no matter how long or how often you sit cross-legged and watch your breath, then try active meditation .
Active meditation simply means that we involve the body actively with mindful movement. This can also be very dynamic in part, but just be careful.
The body thus becomes an instrument: roughly speaking, intense activities such as jogging, dancing, shaking, hopping or the like for a while, and then a few minutes of silence. The movement activates the body and the sympathetic nervous system, which means that deep relaxation can only occur as a counterbalance, i.e. as a result. Ie first everything is brought to a boil, then it can relax.
This is possible because the inner restlessness, tension and fidgety that has built up due to our hectic everyday life can be reduced through the dynamic but mindful movement.
In addition, these specific Active Meditations, as we offer them, work on a level that lies beyond the cognitive mind. With this, inner blockages can be released that we are not even aware of. The result is not just greater serenity. Over time, these active meditations can also be used to resolve stubborn patterns that have adversely affected our lives. In the long term, these methods contribute to your inner freedom, more zest for life and a more free flow of energy.
Osho, an enlightened mystic and the 'inventor' of the famous Osho Active Meditations, says:
"As far as modern humans are concerned, I insist on active meditations instead of silent meditation. Because your energy wants to be acted out, it needs catharsis. You have too much energy and no actions for the energy ... Let the energy flow. Through action you merge with it Existence. When & Where
We will meet at the specified time on Zoom, you will receive the link after registration. The event last 90 minutes and are explained in detail beforehand. After meditation we have time to share the experience and ask questions. If you prefer to remain in silence after the meditation you are welcome to leave right after the meditation ends.
Clothes & Props
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing. Many meditations require a mat to lie down and a pillow or chair to sit on. It is helpful to have enough space for the movement phase. If you stretch out your arms and turn around in a circle, there should be enough space. It is advisable to have a blanket to hand for the reclining phase.
